Thank you, Holding Hands Foundation, for your generous donation to the Neha Cancer Support Services Fund at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This donation will help us purchase new wigs, scarves, hats, and other hair alternatives we provide as a complimentary service to our patients. What a difference this will make in the lives of our patients. Having a solution to their hair loss problem and self-image helps them positively face the day as they go through treatment.

Today at the Sylvester Cancer Center, we attended a meeting about improving HHF’s support programs, such as the Medical Lodging Program and additional assistance with grocery items.
It was inspiring to hear how Neha’s vision has made a profound impact on patients. Ms. Hillery, Tangela, Coordinator of Cancer Support Services, shared touching stories of patients who express their gratitude daily for Neha’s mission. It was a humbling moment for HHF to realize the significant difference individuals can make, both while they are here and even after they have moved on.

One-Time Assistance for Oncology Patients
Program Overview
The Seva Gift Card Program is designed to provide one-time financial assistance to oncology patients experiencing immediate hardship. This initiative supports patient health and well-being by helping meet urgent needs.
Eligible Expenses
Gift cards may be used for the following:
Prescription, Co-pay, or Premium Assistance
Nutritional Supplements – for patients requiring dietary support
Immediate Crisis Assistance – essentials such as food, clothing, and hygiene items
Small Household Items
Compression Socks
Fresh Produce
Eligibility Requirements
Determination: Patients must have an identified need and demonstrate financial hardship.
Referral Source: Referrals must come from Social Work or the Cancer Supportive and Survivorship Services team.
Distribution Method: Gift cards must be distributed in person directly to the patient.
Non-Cash Use: Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be reloaded.
Documentation Requirements
A gift card log must be maintained and include the following:
Recipient’s name and information
Date of issuance
Purpose of assistance
Gift card serial number
Payment amount
Recipient’s signature
