Fundraising with Samavor Chai
At Samovar Chai, we offer authentic, aromatic, and divine Kashmir green tea from Himalaya. A tea lovers the best possible experience. Kashmiri Tea is traditionally prepared in Samavor. Chai is a beverage prepared by boiling water with cardamom, cinnamon, sugar, and evergreen kahwa leaves native to Kashmir, India, and other East Asian countries.
We are fundraising for food for the patients and caregivers, who must travel for better treatment, and provide wigs and scarves for cancer patients who lost hair due to chemotherapy.
Your purchasing of chai will help us buy food, wigs and scarves for a cancer patient.

Remembering Our Loved Ones
Honor the memory of your loved one by sponsoring a meal for the community.
We are feeding 45-50 patients and caregivers every month, sometimes 3-4 times a month depending on the number of sponsors every month.
Young Volunteers Program
High school students support Holding Hands Foundation by working with children on activities such as arts and crafts, baking, dance
Chemotherapy Port Pillow and Headscarves Program
We donate chemotherapy port pillows and headscarves for cancer patients free to patients undergoing cancer treatment.
NEHA Cancer Support Services Fund
We support cancer patients by donating wigs and other complementary accessories at community hospitals and cancer centers.

Samavar Chai Fundraising
HHF participated in the Artisan Fair organized by Miami Shores Library. HHF raised funds by selling Kashmiri tea “Kehwa.” Our booth, named ‘Samavar Chai’ also had samosa, Rotth and scarves available for purchase to support our programs: Adopt A meal and Wigs & Scarf program for cancer patients. We are so thankful to everyone’s support and successful fundraising.
Appreciating Medical staff and Caregivers
Appreciation Day
Last week, the Holding Hands Foundation recognized Sylvester Cancer Center's medical staff for easing chemotherapy patients' pain every single day. We cannot thank them enough for the dedication they show on a daily basis. During the event, HHF distributed gift bags with tokens of appreciation, including mugs emblazoned with "Hug in a Mug".
HHF also served hot gourmet chicken soup to medical staff, caregivers, and patients.
